Systems Engineer - Design, Assembly and Commission

A Systems Engineer is required to help deliver a wide range of audio
recording, playback and analytics software solutions for Air Traffic
Control systems, Law enforcement and the military. Working with a
successful multi-national engineering company, the ideal candidate will
have an interest in new technologies, a desire to learn and be flexible
within a fast moving market.

Job Purpose

The Systems Engineer installs and commissions projects; develops
engineering solutions to customer problems; prepares written reports,
technical specifications, and material specifications. Works with the
customer, suppliers, and consultants to provide information on specific
programs and projects. The role also involves tasks such as recorder
system build and system configuration, product testing and cable
assembly.

Key Responsibilities -

- Manage the build, testing and commissioning of a system from its
inception through to customer acceptance
- Document system builds, assemble hardware and install software
- Write and perform factory and site acceptance tests with customers
- Develop a strong technical understanding of the company's products
- Contribute to the continual development of the departments procedures
- Work as part of a team to develop new product solutions
- Identify, design and implement solutions to engineering problems
- Work with the sales team on technical solutions

Essential Skills and Experience

- Experience of installing and Configuring Software
- Experience of Hardware troubleshooting
- Windows desktop operating systems experience
- Should be self-motivated, able to work unsupervised with excellent
analytical skills and abilities in fault-finding
- Good written and verbal communication skills with both internal and
external customers
- Experience of reviewing and checking engineering drawings, plans,
computations, estimates and reports for completeness, accuracy, and
soundness of applied engineering principles.

- Providing training to customers
- Experience of building systems in racks
- Experience of system and infrastructure cabling
