Our client sells a range of automated strapping and stretch wrapping machines to industry and, due to expansion, are looking for a systems engineer to join their team of engineers.
Service Engineer / Systems Engineer - The Role
The role is field based and will involve completing a mix of pre-planned service visits, installations and breakdown call outs. Around 80% of the work is pre-planned but some of your time will be involved in resolving breakdowns for clients so will tend to be more reactive. The area covered is the South West but you may also be required to work anywhere in the UK to help cover holidays and sickness when needed.
Consequently a flexible approach to work is required and you must be willing to work away from home on occasion. Overnight stays should number no more than two or three per month.
Service Engineer / Systems Engineer - The Person
You will need a sound background in Electrical and Mechanical engineering ideally within a service industry. A strong electrical bias is preferred. You will also need to be conscientious and hardworking, physically it, well organised and numerate with excellent attention to detail. Full product training will be given on site and at the group headquarters in Germany.
In return the company offers a competitive salary, group and department bonus currently around £5k per annum, company car, company pension with 8% contribution and 25 day paid holiday per annum.
