This company specialise in the service and maintenance of a variety or process and production machinery in different industries. They are currently expanding in the dairy industry and recently won several large contracts due to their ever increasing reputation. They are currently looking to recruit a service engineer who will be responsible for the maintenance on process machinery, particular filling and packaging.
In this role, the successful Service Engineer will be responsible for the electrical and mechanical maintenance and repair of machinery across a variety of sites across the UK. The majority of the work will be planned maintenance however there will also be an element of reactive repairs. The successful candidate will also be involved in assisting customers in project work and turning new business opportunities into orders.
The ideal candidate will be based close to the motorway network from Liverpool and Manchester in the North down the M6 to the M5 Corridor close to Gloucester and Bristol, around Birmingham or the M1 and M40 corridors heading down to North London. Experience of some of the following machinery would be advantageous: Cryovac, Ishida, Marel, Herma, Bizerba, Loma, PFM, Multivac, Dunelm, Atwell, Wright Pugson, PALS, Smartdate, and Cobalt.

*Service and maintenance of process and production machinery
*Assisting and advising customers in turning new business opportunities into orders
*Primarily covering a patch of Cheshire, Shropshire, the Midlands, the M5 Corridor to Gloucester and the M1/M40 corridor from Birmingham to North London
*The role is mainly electrically biased but with some mechanical work as well
*80% planned maintenance and 20% reactive repair
*Experience in electrical maintenance in a food or packaging environment
*Any mechanical skills are advantageous
*Prior experience in a field service role is helpful but not essential
*Living around the M6 from Manchester to Birmingham, the M5 from Birmingham to Bristol, or the M1 and M40 from Birmingham to North London or the surrounding areas
*Looking to further progress your career into a team leader and Project Engineer role
*Flexible to stay away as and when required
